Manisha Meetarbhan

Legal Executive

Since joining BLC Chambers in 2013, Manisha has been involved in both commercial litigation and transactional matters. She has assisted in a variety of litigation matters, including injunctions, statutory demands (and setting aside thereof), employment disputes, as well as a number of Court applications under the Insolvency Act. On the transactional side, she has assisted in various corporate transactions including those relating to the financing of power plants in Mauritius.

Manisha has recently successfully assisted an applicant in obtaining interim relief in front of the arbitral tribunal in Mauritius. Manisha is also experienced in IT law (more specifically in drafting various types of agreements relating both to hardware and software), as well as data protection legislation in Mauritius.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Law and Management from the University of Mauritius, an LLB from the College of Law (UK) and an LLM in Corporate Finance Law from the University of Westminster (UK). She was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable society of Gray’s Inn in 2012 and was admitted to the Bar of Mauritius in January 2014.
